• Medium shot photo used for the cover page
• A clear heading with unusual font
• Keep consistent house style throughout
• Plain background used on cover page
• Use different colours and fonts to differentiate articles
• Student should be a positive role model
• Use a range of 3 colours
• Engaging subheadings
• Images relating to theme/subject
• Make sure model is facing light source
• Clear branding
• Contents page arranged in clear columns with subheadings and corresponding images
• A clear mass head

Print- preliminary exercise using DTP and an image manipulation program produce the front page of a new school college magazine, featuring a photograph of a student in medium close-up plus some appropriately laid-out text and a masthead. Additionally candidates must produce DTP mock-up of the layout of the contents page.
